Founder Neal Norie brought with him over 25 years’ experience in the food trade, with a vision of creating a local independent foodservice company that would not only compete with the large corporate foodservice companies that seem to dominate the industry, but create a company that had stronger core customer values than was being demonstrated by these so called ‘market leaders’. These companies could, and still do, arrive at a customer’s premises sometimes on the wrong delivery day, very late, with product shortages, very often the wrong products and unannounced price increases, after having insisted on a minimum order delivery, in excess of what you really wanted to order in the first place! This on a day, when you, the customer, have a very important busy social function for a large amount of people to cater for. And these companies actually have the word “Service” in their names?
From day one Neal and his colleagues went about trying to be different from what they saw as the industry norm.
During the past 19 years of progress the company has happily needed to relocate premises on two occasions in order to keep pace with the increase in customer numbers, and space needed for food preparation and product stockholding. The current premises near to Bridgwater and junction 24 of the M5 motorway is purpose-equipped with a large frozen food storage facility, large chill rooms, food preparation rooms and major ambient storage facilities. Health and Hygiene are of utmost importance in the Premier Chef day to day operation. With this in mind, it is no surprise that we maintain a very high level of Hygiene and are audited regularly by the EHO.
Situated just off the motorway, with modern day storage facilities and dual-temperature refrigerated vehicles, Premier Chef Foodservice Ltd is ideally placed to serve you.
Here at Premier Chef Foodservice we try to encompass the product needs of a diversified range of customers and food outlets, which means the product range required needs to be extensive, varied, comprehensive and above all interesting and readily available. In order to achieve this goal we have put in place a very liquid system that allows us to hold core stock items in situ every day, as well as receive deliveries overnight and early morning from a commercial partner who holds over 10,000 products in stock. This system allows us to take orders every day for next day delivery for anything from fresh cream and fresh bread, right the way through to frozen fish products and plastic cups!
This ensures that we can facilitate the time sensitive needs of our customers for the many types of product we have to offer.
